Woodstock, IL : A pedestrian was injured after being hit by a car at Intersection of Winslow Avenue and Tara Drive On Thursday, May 19th, 2016

A pedestrian was sent to the hospital Thursday after being hit by a car in Woodstock, a fire official said.

The Woodstock Fire/Rescue District was dispatched about 6:05 a.m. to the intersection of Winslow Avenue and Tara Drive for the collision. When crews arrived, they found a pedestrian lying in the road who was conscious and breathing, Capt.

Karen Bush said.

Paramedics transported the pedestrian to Centegra Hospital – Woodstock in fair to good condition, Bush said. She could not provide details on the pedestrian's age, gender or town of residence.

Bush said the driver of the vehicle was not injured.

Woodstock police also responded, but could not immediately be reached for comment.
