Gulfport, MS : Motorcyclist dies after crashing into SUV on Duckworth Road in Harrison County on Saturday afternoon, Nov 21, 2015

After crashing into an SUV Saturday afternoon, Harrison County officials have confirmed that 46-year-old Curtis Wicker of Gulfport has died.

The Gulfport Police Department was called to the scene on Duckworth Road just before 1 p.m.

Police say a Chevrolet Tahoe was headed eastbound when it slowed down to make a turn into a private driveway. At that time, Wicker, who was driving a motorcycle behind several other vehicles, attempted to pass traffic when he struck the front-end of the Tahoe.

Wicker was taken to the hospital, where he later died from head and chest injuries.

The driver of the Tahoe was not hurt.
