JOHNSON COUNTY, IA : 17-year-old killed in Johnson County crash, identified as UI pre-med student on Saturday, 16th November 2024

A 17-year-old has died, after a crash in Johnson County just after midnight Saturday.

Iowa State Patrol reports it happened around 12:30 a.m., on I-380 Southbound, near mile-marker 5.

A 2013 Hyundai Azera driven by Kaden Blair of Swisher reportedly left the roadway, and struck the concrete barrier. Iowa State Patrol says the car caught fire, and Blair was ejected.

Saturday, Cedar Rapids Prairie High School Wrestling posted to Facebook, mourning Blair, and directing people to a GoFundMe for the family.
