Anderson, SC : Driver killed and passenger injured in fatal crash in Anderson County on Thursday January 21 2016

Troopers responded to a fatal crash in Anderson County on Thursday night.
According to the S.C. Highway Patrol, the collision occurred on Moores Mill Road at Old River Road around 9:40 p.m.
Troopers said the driver of a 1989 Chevrolet Corvette ran off the right side of the roadway before striking a fence and a tree.
The driver was not wearing a seat belt and was entrapped in the vehicle. He was extricated from the crash, but pronounced dead at the scene.
Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore identified the driver as Travis Denard, 31, of Piedmont.
Shore said speed, alcohol and wet road conditions all contributed to the crash.
A 25-year-old passenger was also not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle. He was transported to Greenville Memorial Hospital for injuries.
