BRADFORD, IL : Bradford man killed in Stark County crash on Sunday, February 26th 2017

A Bradford man was killed early Saturday in a single-car crash on a state highway about five miles west of here in rural Stark County, police said.

Brian L. Webber, 42, was pronounced dead at 5:46 a.m. at the scene of the crash, Sheriff and county death investigator Steve Sloan said in a news release.

The accident occurred on Illinois Route 93 about a half-mile west of its intersection with Modena Road, the release said. Sloan discovered the 1995 Mercury off the road while on routine patrol, and no further details about the crash were immediately available.

The accident remains under investigation, Sloan said, and an autopsy will be performed.
