FARMINGTON, MO : Wilton man arrested after Farmington crash on Wednesday, May 31, 2017

A Wilton man is accused of operating under the influence Wednesday night after his vehicle crossed into the opposite lane on Town Farm Road and collided with a Poland Spring water tanker-truck.Benjamin Reeves, 32, was driving south toward Strong when he failed to keep in the proper lane and struck a truck driven by Diane Tripp, 45, of Harrison, according to Stephan Bunker, an assistant to the Farmington Police Department, who read from police officer Jesse Clement's accident report.

Neither driver was hurt.

Clement arrested Reeves on a charge of operating under the influence, Bunker said.

Reeves' Dodge Avenger and the Poland Spring truck were towed from the scene, Bunker said.

Reeves was taken to Franklin County Detention Center in Farmington. He posted $250 cash bail and was released Thursday morning, according to an arrest log.

He is scheduled to appear July 25 at a Farmington court on the charge.

Farmington Fire Rescue Department assisted at the scene.
