TROMMALD, MN : Crosby man dies in crash at the intersection of Iverson Road and South Black Bear Road on Sunday, 27th September, 2020

A 57-year-old Crosby man was killed Sunday, Sept. 27, after the GMC Sierra he was driving crashed in Trommald.

The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office was called at 11:01 a.m. to a crash at the intersection of Iverson Road and South Black Bear Road in Trommald. Upon arrival, deputies located the deceased man in the driver’s seat. There were no other occupants in the truck. The sheriff’s office reported that it did not appear that anyone had witnessed the crash.

An investigation showed the truck was traveling north on Iverson Road, crossed south on Black Bear Road and crashed into a tree on the northeast corner of the intersection.

The name of the man is being withheld pending family notification.

The Crosby Police Department, Minnesota Department of National Resources, Minnesota State Patrol, Ironton Fire Department and Cuyuna Regional Medical Center ambulance assisted at the scene.
