Kingstree, S.C : Hemingway teen killed in crash south of Hemingway on Tuesday, February 7, 2017

A teenager was killed after colliding with a tractor-trailer. Williamsburg County Deputy Coroner Vernal Fulton identified the person as Kayontac D. Gagum, 18, of Hemingway.
The crash occurred around 7:10 a.m. on South Carolina Highway 41/51 at the intersection of Radio Road south of Hemingway.
According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, Corporal Sonny Collins, the driver of a 2002 Honda was turning left from Radio Road on to Highway 41/51 when it was struck by a 2016 tractor-trailer that was traveling south on Highway 41/51. The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured and will not be charged in the crash. The driver of the Honda was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
