LAKE WALES, FL : 1 person killed, 4 flown to trauma center after Polk County crash on Friday, 16th February 2024

One person was killed and four others, including an infant, were transported to the hospital as trauma alerts after a serious crash Friday morning in Lake Wales.

The crash involving a pickup truck and an SUV happened just after 11 a.m. on Highway 640 off of Highway 27.

Polk County officials said first responders arrived to find 63-year-old Gesner Souvernance dead inside a silver 2004 Toyota Tacoma.
