FITCHBURG, MA : A crash involving a tractor-trailer that killed a motorcyclist on Monday, June 19, 2017

Authorities in Massachusetts are investigating a crash involving a tractor-trailer that killed a motorcyclist.

The Sentinel and Enterprise reports the crash happened around 12 a.m. Monday in Fitchburg. Authorities say a 34-year-old Fitchburg man was driving a motorcycle when he struck a tractor-trailer that was turning.

Police Capt. Harry Hess says the man was taken to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced dead.

Hess says the man’s identity will be released by the Worcester County District Attorney’s Office.

Fitchburg police and the Central Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council are investigating the crash.
