Ischua, NY : Amish Buggy Demolished and three people injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on Monday June 7th 2014
State police say they're looking for the driver of a vehicle that collided with an Amish horse and buggy on a western New York road, injuring three people and the animal.
Troopers say the buggy was traveling on state Route 16 around 3:40 p.m. Monday when it was hit from behind by a minivan in the Cattaraugus County town of Ischua, 50 miles southeast of Buffalo.
Police say the van's driver didn't stop after the impact knocked the horse and buggy into a roadside ditch.
The person driving the buggy and two sons suffered non-life-threatening head injuries and were treated at Olean General Hospital. The horse also was injured but was able to walk before being transported by trailer back to its owner's property.
The buggy was demolished.
