WENDELL, ID : One man died and another was injured in a rollover cras on May, Wednesday, 24th 2017

One man died and another was injured in a rollover crash Wednesday morning south of Wendell, Idaho State Police said.

The call came in just after 7 a.m. notifying police of the one-vehicle crash at 1875 E. 3400 S. in Gooding County.

Jose Valdez, 22, of Jerome was westbound on 3400 South when his GMC Yukon drifted off the north side of the road and rolled, ISP said. The vehicle struck a power pole and fence, then came to rest on the north side of the road. Valdez was taken by ambulance to St. Luke’s Magic Valley Medical Center in Twin Falls.

Valdez’s passenger, Leopoldo Alvarez-Trujillo, 19, also of Jerome, was thrown from the vehicle and died at the scene, Trooper Michael Wendler said.
