A Fayetteville woman was charged Sunday after crashing a vehicle into a snow embankment with two children in the car, Pennsylvania State Police said.
Cassandra M. Kaetzel, 33, was charged with driving under the influence, endangering the welfare of children, reckless endangerment, careless driving, reckless driving and failing to drive on the roadway, according to a state police news release.
A 6-year-old girl and 5-year-old girl were in the back seat of the vehicle when it crashed at the intersection of Spring Valley Road and Ragged Edge Road South, police said.
Kaetzel was "highly intoxicated and combative" during the investigation, police said.
The accident caused minor damage to the vehicle, police said.
