A Passenger was killed and two other people were seriously hurt Sunday morning in a collision on Md. 26 at the PNC Bank in Eldersburg.
According to a news release from the Maryland State Police Westminster Barrack, a 17-year-old male, from Randallstown, was driving east on Md. 26 in a Lexus ES350 four-door at approximately 5:53 a.m. with two passengers. He crossed the center line, almost hitting a stopped vehicle, and slid across the lanes for westbound traffic. The vehicle hit a curb and rolled into the parking lot of the PNC Bank and down a hill, striking a concrete parking lot pole and a business sign.
The driver was transported by Winfield Fire Department's ambulance to University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center in Baltimore in serious condition; the right front passenger was flown by Maryland State Police Medevac to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma in critical condition; the rear passenger was ejected and transported by Sykesville Fire Department's ambulance to Northwest Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to the state police news release.
A spokesman for the police said Sunday he could not release the name of the juveniles involved in the crash and the investigation was ongoing.
