Emergency responders are working a wreck on Interstate 77 southbound near the 55 mile marker, according to the N.C. Highway Patrol.
Initial reports are that the incident is related to a medical condition.
Responders were performing CPR on one patient and one lane of the interstate was closed, according to scanner traffic.
The incident happened shortly after noon.
