A man was killed after his car collided with a semi-truck just outside Vermillion on Wednesday night.
The driver of a 2016 Toyota Camry, a 78-year-old man, was heading southbound on Highway 19 when he went through a stop sign at the intersection with Highway 50, South Dakota Highway Patrol spokesman Tony Mangan said.
The Camry hit a 1999 Freightliner truck going westbound on Highway 50, killing the Camry's driver. The 44-year-old man driving the truck was not injured.
