Denver, CO : Fatal hit-and-run crash on West Colfax on Thursday, 19th December, 2019

A 39-year-old man was arrested Thursday in connection with a fatal hit-and-run crash in Denver that killed a woman.

Juan Sanchez was being held on suspicion of vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of an accident, Denver police said Thursday.

Investigators believe Sanchez was driving a borrowed white pickup truck around 4:55 p.m. Tuesday when the truck struck and killed a woman in her 50s. The truck never stopped.

The woman was taken to a hospital, where she died at 5:02 p.m. She has not been identified.
