State police say a two-car crash has left one person dead and two injured in Connecticut.
Officers responded to the intersection of U.S. Route 6 and state Route 97 in Hampton just before 4 p.m. Thursday.
Police say it appears that a vehicle driven by 74-year-old Charles Thurlow of Canterbury entered the path of a car driven by 40-year-old Michael Kozyra of Mansfield. Kozyra's car was unable to stop and collided with Thurlow's vehicle.
Thurlow was taken to Windham Hospital and then airlifted to Hartford Hospital where he died. Thurlow's passenger, Matilda Thurlow, and Kozyra were hospitalized with injuries not considered life-threatening.
Police are investigating.
