Kyler Hohlbein, 25, died Friday after being thrown from his motorcycle
Police have identified a motorcyclist who died Friday following a crash in west Phoenix.
Kyler Hohlbein, 25, died following an accident near 3200 Indian School Road, said Sgt. Steve Martos, a Phoenix Police Department spokesman.
Hohlbein was traveling eastbound when he collided with a vehicle that turned in front him, Martos said. He was thrown from his motorcycle and suffered fatal injuries.
The accident closed Indian School Road Friday evening in both directions between 31st and 33rd avenues.
Impairment did not appear to play a factor in the accident, Martos said.
A motorcyclist died of injuries received during a collision Friday afternoon in west Phoenix, police said.
Sgt. Steve Martos, a spokesman for the Phoenix Police Department sent a tweet at about 4:30 p.m. saying a serious collision involving a motorcycle forced the closure of Indian School Road in both directions between 31st and 33rd avenues.
About 45 minutes later, Martos sent another tweet announcing the motorcyclist had died.
Martos gave no details about the crash, but a photo of the scene that he posted to Twitter showed a white sedan parked in the street, its bumper lying on a sidewalk.
The road closure will remain in place at least through the evening rush hour as police investigate.
