Las Vegas, NV : 54-year-old man dead after single-car crash in North Las Vegas on Tuesday, December 8, 2015

A 54-year-old Las Vegas man was declared dead early today after a car crashed into a power pole, according to North Las Vegas Police.

The crash was reported about 1:40 a.m. in the 7200 block of North Decatur Boulevard.

Officers found the man — the sole occupant of the car — suffering from critical injuries, and he was declared dead at the scene, police said. His name and cause of death will be released by the Clark County Coroner’s Office.

Preliminary investigation indicates a 2008 Volkswagen Beetle was traveling north when it ran off the road and hit the pole, police said.
