COLUMBUS, OH : 5 taken into custody after stolen Kia crashes into police cruiser in north Columbus on Saturday, 25h May 2024

Five people are in custody after a stolen Kia crashed into a police cruiser in north Columbus Saturday afternoon, authorities said.

The crash happened near the intersection of North 4th Street and Wyandotte Avenue just before 3:20 p.m.

According to the Columbus Division of Police, officers were attempting to locate a suspicious vehicle that fled from a traffic stop. Officers were able to locate the vehicle and set up a perimeter. The vehicle then hit a cruiser head-on
