NEW PLYMOUTH, OR : A school bus and a van collided on Monday, December, 18th 2017

Children were not among those injured after a school bus and a van collided late Monday afternoon.

At 3:59 p.m., Idaho State Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 52 near milepost 15.5, east of New Plymouth.

John Fisher, 63, of New Plymouth, was driving eastbound on U.S. Highway 52 in a school bus, while Margurite Lyons, 58, of Ontario, was

driving westbound in a 2016 Dodge Ram van when the two collided, according to an Idaho State Police news release.

The bus subsequently came to a rest in a creek on the northside of the highway and the van came to rest on the north shoulder.

Both drivers were taken to St. Luke’s Medical Plaza for unknown injuries, in Fruitland.

No juveniles were injured in the crash and it is unknown how many children were on the bus.

The crash is under investigation by the Idaho State Police.
