Smithville, TN : One injured in crash on September 28 2016

One person was injured in a two-car collision on Highway 56 South last week. Trooper Bobby Johnson of the Tennessee Highway Patrol said Jerry Holley, 62, of Rock Island was traveling south on Sept. 20 in a 1998 Chevy Silverado when he hit a 1982 GMC pickup that was stopped making a left turn into a private driveway. The GMC was driven by a 16-year-old-male. Holley was not injured, but the younger man was transported to the hospital by DeKalb EMS. Holley was reportedly cited for failure to exercise due care.
