ATKINSON, IL : 7 injured in 3-vehicle crash on I-80 near Atkinson on Monday, 4th November 2024

Seven people were injured early Monday morning following a three-vehicle crash on I-80 near Atkinson.

According to the Henry County Sheriff's Office, officials responded to the crash around 3:30 a.m. near milepost 26. Officials say two semi-trucks and a minivan were all driving westbound when one of the semi-trucks veered off the roadway to the right, reentered the roadway and overturned into the center of the roadway. This led to the semi-truck being struck by the second semi-truck and the minivan.
