Greenhill, AL : Ryan Gaven Gray, 19, killed and Scott Bennett Jones, 21, Ashlyn Summer Putman, 16, and Brooke Ciera King, 17, injured in Friday night one-car accident in Florence on August 29, 2014

A Lexington teenager died today at Huntsville Hospital from injuries sustained in a Friday night traffic accident, authorities said. State troopers said Ryan Gaven Gray, 19, 5091 Lauderdale 136, Lexington, was critically injured in a one-car accident that happened just before midnight Friday. Officials said the accident took place on Lauderdale 8, Greenhill, near Otha Jaynes Auction House. Troopers said Gray was a passenger in a car driven by Scott Bennett Jones, 21, Lexington. Jones was injured and flown to Huntsville Hospital, but was treated and later released. Also, injured were Ashlyn Summer Putman, 16, Florence, and Brooke Ciera King, 17, Lexington. Emergency personnel said they were in the backseat of the car. The two girls were taken to Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital where according to ECM spokesman Tom Whetstone, they were treated and released.
