LOOGOOTEE, IN : Two men died in Martin County near Boggs Lake on Wednesday, November, 15th 2017

Two men died Wednesday in Martin County near Boggs Lake.

Just before 8:30 a.m., 60-year-old Kevin Sears of Odon was traveling northbound on U.S. 231 when he veered into the southbound lane for an unknown reason. Sears’ car struck 29-year-old Zachary Greene of Loogootee’s car before coming to a stop.

Sears was pronounced dead at the scene. Greene and his passenger were both sent to Memorial Hospital in Jasper. The passenger was then transferred to St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, where he died. His identity has not been released.

The crash is still being investigated.
