CHANTILLY, VA : 1 dead, another injured after wrong-way driver causes head-on crash on in Chantilly on Friday, 22nd February 2019

One man is dead and another person is critically injured after a wrong-way driver caused a head-on crash on southbound Route 28 in Chantilly, Virginia early Friday morning, police said.

According to Lt. Christopher Sharp, spokesman for the Fairfax County Police Department, an apparent wrong-way driver travelling north in the southbound lanes of Rt. 28/Sully Rd. struck southbound vehicle at Westfields Blvd. shortly before 2:30 a.m. The two drivers of the vehicles were transported to a local hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries.
