A Fenton man was hospitalized in critical condition after a high speed crash on Hill Road in Mundy Township late Tuesday, police say.
An officer from the Metro Police Authority of Genesee County was conducting radar surveillance around 11 p.m. when a vehicle passed at a high rate of speed, according to Chief Matt Bade.
The officer attempted to pull over the vehicle, but it crashed into a pickup truck near the intersection of Hill and VanSlyke roads before they could catch up.
A 59-year-old man from Fenton, who was driving the truck, got thrown out after the impact. An ambulance rushed him to an area hospital, where he was listed in critical condition Wednesday morning.
