Nolanville, TX : Driver and passenger seriously injured after car crashed on U.S. Highway 190 in Nolanville on Monday May 16, 2016
An armored car crashed on U.S. Highway 190 in Nolanville on Monday morning, causing the eastbound lanes of the highway to be shut down.
The driver lost control of the vehicle, which came to rest on its side on the inside median on eastbound U.S. 190 about 6:35 a.m., according to Texas Department of Public Safety Trooper D.L. Wilson.
“What happened is the armored car was on the hill there and a vehicle slowed for an unknown reason and the armored car was traveling at an unsafe speed, swerved to miss the slower car and rolled over into the center median,” Wilson said.
The driver and passenger were taken to Seton Medical Center in Harker Heights with nonlife-threatening injuries.
Central Bell County Fire and Rescue Chief Jason Woodard said several firefighters were on the scene of the accident.
