Sunnyside, WA : 24 year old man dead in one car accident in Yakima County on Sunday morning, February 7, 2016

A 24 year old man is dead after a car accident outside of Sunnyside Sunday morning. Washington State Patrol reports Jose D. Jimenez was driving southbound in the 11 hundred block of Maple Grove Road around 5:30am when he failed to stop at stop sign. His Nissan 350Z Coupe went off the road to the right and hit a fence. The car continued to travel approximately 120 yards before it came to rest. Jimenez was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger, 32 year old Luis A. Ramirez was transported to Sunnyside Community Hospital with injuries. The exact case of the crash is still under investigation.
