Sacramento, CA : Fatal crash involving motorcycle shuts down Highway 168, 180 ramp on Thursday, 4th October 2018

At least one person is dead following a fatal crash that involved a motorcycle on Highway 168 near the Highway 180 ramp on Thursday night, according to the California Highway Patrol.

Highway 180 west was closed in the area, Caltrans said. The accident happened around 7:15 p.m.

CHP reported that a motorcyclist was unconscious in the roadway, where debris, including a refrigerator, was blocking lanes.

It was not immediately known if the motorcyclist is the person who died or what caused the crash.
