A Hebron woman was cited after a crash that slowed traffic on Route 31 Tuesday afternoon.
McHenry police responded about
4 p.m. to Route 31 south of Albany Street for a three-vehicle crash, McHenry Deputy Police Chief Tom Walsh said.
An initial investigation showed that Brittany Standish, 19, of the 9600 block of Main Street in Hebron, was driving north on Route 31 in a 2008 Ford Fusion when she rear-ended a 2013 Ford Explorer that was stopped in traffic.
The impact pushed the Explorer into a Ford F-150 that also was stopped, Walsh said.
One driver was taken to Centegra Hospital – McHenry with minor injuries. Standish was cited for failure to reduce speed to avoid a crash.
