Cedar Rapids, IA : Motorcyclist crashes into Cedar Rapids house after police chase on Thursday evening, October 16, 2014

A motorcyclist crashed into a house after a police chase in Cedar Rapids. Cedar Rapids Police say an officer spotted a motorcyclist driving recklessly in the 700 block of 15th Street SE shortly after 4 p.m. Thursday. Police say the officer tried to pull over the motorcyclist, but the driver sped off. The officer followed for a bit, but called off the pursuit as it appeared to become dangerous. The officer was soon flagged down by a jogger, who pointed out the motorcycle crashed into a house at 2451 Grande Avenue SE. The motorcyclist was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries.
