Pasadena CA : One person was dead in fatal car crash Saturday September 27th 2014.
Anne Arundel police are investigating a fatal car crash Saturday morning along westbound Route 100 near Route 10 in Pasadena.
Anne Arundel Fire Department said they were dispatched about 7:30 a.m. after a passerby reported a Ford Focus had crashed into a ditch in the woods along the road. First responders found one victim dead who had been trapped inside the car, the fire department said.
Police identified the victim was Edward McKeenzie Gray Jr., 35, of Pasadena. Investigators believe he crashed at around 5:30 a.m. or 6 a.m. but was not found until a passerby reported seeing the car in the woods. Police said the crash appeared to have been the result of driver error.
The portion of the highway was shut down for a few hours while investigators worked but has since reopened.
Another man was critically injured in a separate crash in Lothian Friday afternoon. David Paul Bartlett, 48, of Glen Burnie, was involved in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Southern Maryland Boulevard near Mount Zion Marlboro Road around 4:30 p.m. Bartlett was taken to the Maryland Shock Trauma Center and no one else was injured.
