Sherman, TX : Sherman man who died in Friday crash is identified on Friday, February 17th 2017
Officials have identified the man who died in a single-vehicle crash Friday.
Texas Highway Patrol Trooper Mark identified the deceased as 47-year-old Thomas Reunard of Sherman, who was driving the vehicle at the time of the wreck near Denison. The passenger has been identified as 22-year-old Stephen Johnson of Anna. Tackett said Johnson was transported to Medical Center of Plano, but did not know his condition Saturday morning.
Denison Fire Rescue received a call of a wreck on Davey Lane near Preston shortly before 6 p.m. Friday. A red Nissan Altima was traveling eastbound on Davey at an unsafe speed when it approach a hill, Tackett said. The vehicle went airborne as it crossed the hill and rolled off the south side of the road into a creek where it flipped and was partially submerged.
Denison Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Bruce Geilhausen confirmed that Mr. Reunard died at the scene. Johnson was transported via helicopter.
