Petersburg, KY : Car dragged under semi in crash Thursday morning on July 10, 2014

A woman was hospitalized Thursday morning but escaped serious injury after her car became trapped under a tractor-trailer and dragged more than 1,000 feet on the interstate.

Marilyn Thielmann, of Moores Hill, Indiana, was traveling westbound on Interstate 275 when she lost control of her vehicle near Petersburg, Kentucky, according to a news release from the Boone County Sheriff's Office.

The car became lodged underneath the rear axles of a tractor-trailer in another lane, the release states.

Thielmann, 57, was taken to Saint Elizabeth Hospital but her injuries were minor, according to the release.
