Two people were pronounced dead at the scene of a crash reported at 4:44 p.m. Saturday in Ross Township, though it's unknown what time the crash actually happened prior to being reported, said Monroe County Coroner Bob Allen.
A black Chevy Silverado came off Old Route 115 onto Kunkletown Road, where it then went off the road, down an embankment and landed partially submerged on its roof in a watery area. A male was ejected from the vehicle and a female was trapped inside.
Their identities aren't being released until next of kin have been notified. Autopsies will be performed Monday or Tuesday.
