Tully,NY : Driver injured in early-morning propane delivery truck crash near Tully on December, Monday 18th 2017

New York State Police in LaFayette continue to investigate an early-morning accident involving a propane delivery truck that went off the road and hit a tree off Interstate 81 in the town of Tully,

The 2002 Chevrolet propane delivery truck was driven by James P. Fyffe, 54, of Fulton, state police said. Fyffe was traveling southbound on I-81 when he went off the west shoulder of the road about 7 a.m. and hit a tree, police said.

Fyffe was extricated from the truck by the Tully Fire Department and taken to Upstate University Hospital in Syracuse with injuries that are not life-threatening, police aid.

The propane truck did not leak or rupture from the crash, police said.

A cause of the crash has not been released yet.
