Columbus, OH : A motorcyclist is in critical condition after a crash on Wednesday, June 21, 2017

A motorcyclist is in critical condition after a crash with a vehicle Wednesday night on Interstate 71 on the North Side.

The northbound lanes of Interstate 71 between Hudson Street and Weber Road were closed for nearly two hours because of the crash, which occurred at 7:20 p.m.

Columbus Fire paramedics took the motorcyclist, who was in life-threatening condition, to OhioHealth Riverside Methodist Hospital.

The Columbus Police Accident Investigation was called to the scene and is investigating the crash.
