Joplin,MO : Five injured in accidents on area roads on November, Monday 20th 2017
An Arkansas man suffered minor injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 9:10 a.m. Monday on Interstate 49, a mile north of Goodman in McDonald County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Jake A. McKee, 19, of Springdale, was taken to Freeman Neosho Hospital.
He was driving a northbound vehicle that ran off the road and struck a rock embankment, according to the state patrol.
• An Arkansas woman suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle crash at 1:22 a.m. Monday on Farm Road 2265, about 2 miles north of Seligman in Barry County, according to the state patrol.
Samantha A. Chesner, 22, of Rogers, was taken to Mercy Hospital Cassville.
She was driving a westbound car and backed into another car that was parked in the roadway, according to the patrol.
• Both drivers were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 11:05 p.m. Sunday on Missouri Highway 171, a mile west of Carthage in Jasper County, according to the state patrol.
Lacei D. Fillpot, 24, of Carthage, was taken to Mercy Hospital Joplin with moderate injuries, and Ryan A. Cummings, 22, of Jasper, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin with minor injuries.
Both drivers were eastbound when Cummings' vehicle ran into Fillpot's car from behind, the patrol said.
• A Shell City woman was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 7:30 p.m. Sunday on Arron Road, less than 3 miles northwest of Shell City in Vernon County, according to the patrol.
Sherri L. Austin, 48, was taken to the Nevada Regional Medical Center with minor injuries.
Austin was driving a westbound car that ran off the road and overturned, the patrol said.
