Greeley, CO : Native Johnstown farmer dies in farming accident on Friday, February 10th 2017

A native Johnstown farmer died Friday after his involvement in a farming accident.

According to Joey Weiner, chief deputy coroner with the Weld County Coroner’s Office, Gregory Brown, was 68 years old. Details of the accident were not available late Monday.

His obituary reveals he was raised on the family farm in Johnstown and graduated Roosevelt High School in 1966. He was a farmer for most of his life, the obituary states, an occupation he often described as “playing in the dirt.”

The obituary also states services for Brown will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Grace Community Church, 2033 South 1st St. in Johnstown, with a reception to follow. Memorial gifts may be made to the “Brown Family Agriculture Scholarship” at Roosevelt High School in care of Adamson Cares, 2000 47th Ave., Greeley, Colo. 80634.
