Coffee County, TN : Woman killed on I-24 while stopping to help driver near mile marker 121 on Thursday morning, February 26, 2015
A woman was killed in Coffee County while trying to help a stranded driver.
The crash happened on eastbound Interstate 24 near mile marker 121 on Thursday morning.
Officials say the woman, Tracey Hullender, was trying to pull over to help a driver stranded by the side of the road.
A big rig coming up behind her allegedly couldn't stop in time and rear-ended her car.
Hullender died at the scene. Her passenger, Craig Hullender Jr., was injured in the crash.
Officials say criminal charges are pending.
