FLORENCE, AL : Six people were injured in a two-vehicle accident on Sunday, August 6, 2017
Six people were injured in a two-vehicle accident on U.S. 43 Sunday night, officials said.
Senior Trooper Johnathan Appling, a public information officer with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, said the wreck happened at 7:15 p.m. on U.S. 43, near the Lauderdale 73 intersection, which is just outside of Killen.
Reports indicate Tamara Rene Robinson was the driver of a Dodge Ram truck that collided with a Nissan Rogue, driven by Vickie Quinn Shockley.
Appling said Robinson, a juvenile who was with her in the Dodge, Shockley, her husband Greg Shockley and two juveniles with them in the Nissan, were all injured and taken to Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital.
Hospital spokeswoman Melissa Watkins said Robinson was treated and released, while Vickie Shockley and Greg Shockley were both admitted and both in fair condition.
Officials said the juveniles were also treated and released.
Appling said the accident remains under investigation by ALEA’s Quad-Cities State Trooper post.
