Sidney, ME : 18-year-old woman died in a fatal all-terrain vehicle crash on Friday evening, Sep 18, 2015

Authorities say alcohol seems to have contributed to a fatal all-terrain vehicle crash that killed an 18-year-old woman in Maine.

Cpl. John MacDonald of the Maine Warden Service says Haley Cummings was a passenger on a Polaris 850 ATV when she was killed Friday evening in Sidney.

The vehicle was being driven by 21-year-old Alexander Biddle, of Pittston.

Investigators found that the ATV traveled off the side of a gravel driveway and went into a ditch at a high speed. It struck several trees and Cummings was thrown off the vehicle. The ATV also rolled on top of Biddle.

Cummings died at the scene. Biddle was taken to Maine General Medical Center in Augusta with non-life-threatening injuries.

Biddle has not been charged. The accident is under investigation.
