Milwaukee, WI : Two people are killed in a crash in Milwaukee on Thursday evening, July 10, 2014

Two women were killed in a crash Thursday evening at Burleigh Street and Sherman Boulevard in Milwaukee.

Police said a 62-year-old woman driving a small SUV eastbound on Burleigh Street ran a red light at Sherman Boulevard.

The SUV hit another car traveling southbound on Sherman Boulevard, killing the 52-year-old driver and her 45-year-old passenger.

The driver of the SUV and the drivers of two other cars, a 53-year-old man and a 54-year-old woman, were taken to an area hospital and are expected to recover.

The woman driving the SUV is in police custody.
