Madison County, AL : 2 killed in separate Madison County crashes on Wednesday, 25th September 2024

Two people died in early Wednesday traffic crashes in Madison County.

According to Madison County Coroner Dr. Tyler Berryhill, two vehicles crashed head-on about 5:40 a.m. near the cross street of McKee and Carroll Road in Toney. The driver of one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene. Alabama State Troopers are investigating.

The second fatal wreck happened about 6:30 a.m. at North Memorial Parkway and Winchester Road. It involved a motorcycle and SUV. Berryhill said the driver of the motorcycle, identified as 63-year-old John Cooper of Toney, was pronounced dead at the scene. Huntsville Police are investigating.
