VINTON, TX : 1 person seriously injured in I-10 crash involving sheriff's vehicle near Vinton on Friday, 8th September 2023

One person was seriously injured in a crash on Interstate 10 near Vinton Friday morning, according to a spokesperson with the El Paso County Sheriff's Office.

It happened near mile marker 3 around 5:30 a.m.

Ray Vaquera with EPCSO said the person was severely injured and was taken to a hospital.

Crews on the scene said a sheriff's unit looked to be involved in the crash as well.

During the incident, the deputy was not in the vehicle and conducting an investigation on another single-vehicle accident, officials said.
