A Montana woman and a California man died in a head-on crash on Interstate 90 near Anaconda.
The Montana Highway Patrol says a 57-year-old Columbia Falls woman was traveling east in the westbound lanes just before 4 p.m. Monday when her car collided head-on with a westbound sport utility vehicle.
The collision killed the Columbia Falls woman and a 26-year-old man from Van Nuys, California, who was a passenger in the SUV. The driver of the SUV, a 25-year-old woman from Woodland Hills, California, was extricated from the vehicle and was hospitalized in intensive care in Butte.
The names of the victims were being withheld until family members could be notified.
