Orangeburg,SC : 2 dead head-on collision in Orangeburg County on December, Tuesday 19th 2017

The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating following a fatal accident in Orangeburg Tuesday.

The incident happened at around 3:35 p.m. on December 19.

Troopers say the driver of a 2016 Dodge Challenger, later identified as Robinson Geromon, was headed North on US-21 and “attempted to pass five or six cars in a no-passing zone,” according to spokesman Lance Corporal David Jones.

He then hit a 2003 Chevy Impala head-on.

Medics airlifted the driver of the Impala to Palmetto Health Richland where they later died. A front seat passenger in that car was taken to Regional Hospital and later died as well.

Geromon was also transported to Regional Hospital.

His condition isn’t immediately known.

No word on whether any charges will be filed.
