Winona, MN : Two injured in intersection collision in Elgin Friday morning, March 17, 2017

Two people were injured when their vehicles collided at an intersection on Hwy. 247 and Wabasha County Road 2 in the Elgin Township around 7:30 a.m. Friday morning.

Jason Dean Folstad, 33, of Spring Grove, Minn., was traveling north on County Road 2 when he failed to stop at a stop sign and collided with the pick-up truck of Tina Marie Manning, 43, of Kellogg, Minn., who was traveling west on Hwy. 247.

Folstad's passenger, Daniel Richard Fritz, 27, of Rochester, Minn. and Manning were taken to St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester with non-life threatening injuries.

The Wabasha Sheriff's Department and the Plainview Police Department responded to the scene and were assisted by Plainview Ambulance.
